As a Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and enforcing licensing laws in Solihull. You will oversee a team of enforcement officers and work closely with other departments to ensure that license holders are operating in a safe and legal manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a team of licensing enforcement officers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Conduct inspections of licensed premises and investigate complaints and concerns related to licensed premises.
- Identify and investigate breaches of licensing laws and take appropriate action, including prosecution where necessary.
- Work closely with other departments, such as Trading Standards and Environmental Health, to ensure compliance with regulations and laws.
- Provide advice and guidance to businesses on licensing matters, including the application process and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and databases related to licensing enforcement activities.
Requirements:
- A degree in law, criminology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in licensing enforcement or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of licensing regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the Solihull area.
