Job Description: AML Analyst

In light of our continued growth, we are excited to welcome a new AML Analyst to our high-performing team. The selected candidate will be responsible for player reviews, risk assessments, and assisting Senior Analysts and Team Leaders. You will report to your respective team leader and receive comprehensive training to excel in your role.

Responsibilities:

1. Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments of new and current players throughout their customer journey.

2. Process Improvement: Actively contribute to process and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency.

3. Compliance: Ensure all tasks align with established anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes and procedures.

4. Suspicious Activity: Identify and investigate suspicious behavior, collaborating with stakeholders to take appropriate action based on the level of risk.

5. Compliance: Work with internal stakeholders to ensure customer activity complies with duty of care and regulatory obligations.

6. Regulatory Compliance: Help the company meet regulatory requirements in various jurisdictions.

7. Risk Mitigation: Review player activity and financials to minimize business exposure to risks.

8. Escalation Point: Serve as an escalation point for AML-related inquiries and conduct investigations.

9. Suspicious Transaction Reports: Assist in investigating and reporting Suspicious Transaction Reports and maintain due diligence documents.

10. Collaboration: Handle ad hoc requests from the Responsible Gaming department, the VIP team, and other stakeholders.

11. Other Duties: Be prepared to handle additional duties and ad hoc requests as required by the business.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in AML within the online gambling industry.
  • Education: A diploma or degree qualification, or AML-related courses, would be an asset.
  • Attitude: A willingness to learn, a can-do attitude, and a desire to contribute to a dynamic, fast-growing company.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local and international AML standards and gaming regulations under different jurisdictions.
  • Dedication: A strong ambition for a long-term career in AML and a passion for combating money laundering.
  • Awareness: Stay current with money laundering and terrorist financing behaviors, policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
