FanDuel Group is seeking a skilled Compliance Manager to join our Financial Crime Compliance Anti-Money Laundering Gaming Investigations Unit (GIU) with expertise in gaming anti-money laundering compliance and related operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing FanDuel's operations in Ontario, managing a team responsible for enhanced due diligence, sanction list reviews, suspicious activity investigations, and guiding the drafting, filing, and tracking of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR). Additionally, you'll manage the review of complex suspicious customer activities and maintain regular interactions with Ontario gaming regulators. Your role includes identifying opportunities to enhance GIU processes, fostering efficiency, and adapting to Ontario's intricate regulatory landscape.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Gaming Investigations Unit, this position is part of the FanDuel Legal and Compliance function. Successful licensing with state gaming regulators is a requirement post-employment.

THE GAME PLAN:
Each member plays a critical role

- Ensure the Canadian Gaming Investigations Unit (GIU) complies with all legal and regulatory AML requirements.
- Display effective team management and generate data-driven results.
- Lead and oversee AML investigations in line with Canadian regulatory expectations and internal policies, detecting potential suspicious activity from various sources.
- Provide guidance to team members on case resolutions, escalations, and the filing of Suspicious Transaction Reports.
- Streamline GIU processes to support the Sportsbook Business expansion while adhering to risk-based approaches to counter money laundering.
- Implement and maintain a customized transaction monitoring tool, including risk ratings, scenario refinement, and case management.
- Collaborate with the Governance and Strategy team to uphold AML policies and contribute to internal/external audits.

THE STATS:
What we seek in our next teammate

- A minimum of 5 years' experience with a Canadian gaming regulator and/or compliance function in a regulated financial institution supporting Canada.
- Proficiency in transaction monitoring, risk rating, and adapting to regulatory changes in a fast-paced environment while managing daily operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team in a high-paced setting.
- Experience in drafting, filing, and reviewing Suspicious Transaction Reports.
- Adept at process execution, identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with critical thinking capabilities.
- An exceptional team player with leadership qualities, ready to excel within FanDuel Group.
