The Gambling Commission, established under the Gambling Act 2005, is dedicated to ensuring that the commercial gambling industry is run fairly and openly while safeguarding the public against any negative effects caused by gambling. They are currently looking for a Data Analytics Manager to join their team in Birmingham, where the successful candidate will lead a team of analysts in designing and presenting data analysis to inform key policy decisions across the Commission. As the Data Analytics Manager, you will lead a small team of analysts in undertaking data analysis to inform key policy decisions across the Commission. You will also be required to understand stakeholder requirements and match the appropriate analysis techniques and outputs to meet their needs. In addition, you will disseminate analysis from the team to relevant stakeholders and lead data improvement projects to enhance the way data is collected and visualized.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience in leading and managing a small team of analysts, significant experience in data analytics with the strong technical ability with PowerBI or equivalent, and the ability to visualize data analysis and communicate findings to a wide range of stakeholders. They should also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain good working relationships. Desirable skills include coding experience (primarily R or Python) and experience in the gambling industry or regulatory environment.
