Position Overview:

FIS Global is seeking an experienced Financial Crime Compliance Senior Analyst to join our Financial Crimes Compliance team. As a member of the team, you will play a critical role in preventing, managing, and mitigating financial crime risks within our global payments environment. This position focuses on providing financial crime advisory services to high-risk verticals, including crypto, gambling/gaming, and FX/CFD. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as the Financial Crime Compliance Operations team, Onboarding teams, and the business, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and protect FIS from financial crime risks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Crime Advisory Services: Provide expert financial crime compliance advisory services to the business, assisting in the management of money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crime risks. Focus on high-risk verticals, including crypto, gambling/gaming, and FX/CFD.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal stakeholders, including the first and second lines of defense, to provide guidance and support in addressing financial crime risks. Collaborate with teams such as Financial Crime Compliance Operations and Onboarding to ensure effective controls and processes are in place.
  3. Risk Assessment and Analysis: Conduct risk assessments and analysis of financial crime risks, including crypto-related risks. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to provide informed recommendations and guidance to the business.
  4. Compliance Monitoring and Reporting: Assist in monitoring and reporting on compliance with financial crime regulations and policies. Identify potential gaps and areas for improvement, providing actionable recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of controls.
  5. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively as part of a wider Financial Crime Compliance team, sharing knowledge and best practices. Handle and resolve challenging situations with professionalism, while maintaining a collaborative and supportive approach.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience providing financial crime compliance advisory services in a global payments environment, large financial institution, or fintech company.
  2. Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial crime compliance, including operations, intelligence, and associated risks. Familiarity with crypto-related risks, analysis tools (e.g., Chainalysis), and broader financial crime risks, such as bribery and corruption, sanctions, and money laundering.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated experience in engaging with stakeholders at various levels, effectively communicating complex concepts, and influencing decision-making processes.
  4. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high standard of attention to detail. Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  5. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner. Ability to think critically and provide practical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Certification: An anti-money laundering-related qualification, such as the International Compliance Association (ICA) or Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), would be an added bonus.
