We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Licensing and Compliance Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Licensing and Compliance Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations comply with all applicable licensing requirements, regulations, and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Licensing Support:
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of applications for gaming licenses, permits, and other regulatory approvals.
    • Conduct research on licensing requirements and maintain knowledge of changes in the regulatory landscape.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and information for license applications.
    • Assist in communicating and coordinating with regulatory authorities regarding licensing matters.
  2. Compliance Management:
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with gaming laws, regulations, and licensing conditions.
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance program to address regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating internal policies, procedures, and contracts to ensure compliance.
    • Conduct regular audits and internal reviews to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
    • Assist in training employees on compliance requirements and provide ongoing support and guidance.
  3. Regulatory Reporting:
    • Prepare and submit periodic reports to regulatory authorities as required.
    • Keep track of deadlines and ensure timely submission of reports and disclosures.
    • Compile and maintain accurate records and documentation to support regulatory reporting.
  4. Contract Management:
    • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution and compliance with contractual obligations.
    • Maintain a centralized contract repository and track key milestones and obligations.
  5. Legal Research and Documentation:
    • Conduct legal research on various topics related to gaming laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
    • Prepare legal memos, summaries, and presentations to support decision-making and provide guidance to internal teams.
    • Assist in maintaining and organizing legal files, documents, and databases.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
  • Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in the gaming industry or a regulatory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of gaming laws, regulations, and licensing processes.
  • Familiarity with compliance management and regulatory reporting.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in using legal research tools and technology.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
