1. As a Mutuel Clerk, your primary responsibility will be to assist customers in placing bets and provide exceptional customer service. You will work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Your interactions with customers will play a crucial role in ensuring an enjoyable and seamless betting experience for all patrons.
2. Key Responsibilities:

4. Bet Processing: Accurately process bets and wagers using computerized systems. Verify and record betting transactions, ensuring adherence to relevant rules and regulations. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all transactions.
5. Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions, including the collection of bets, issuing payouts, and reconciling cash drawers. Maintain cash accuracy and adhere to established cash-handling procedures and controls.
6. Information and Promotion: Provide customers with information about upcoming races, sports events, and promotions. Actively promote BetMGM products and services, encouraging customer participation and loyalty.
7. Technology Operations: Utilize computerized betting systems and software to process bets, update customer accounts, and generate reports. Ensure familiarity with the latest technology updates and effectively troubleshoot any system-related issues.
8. Compliance and Security: Adhere to all regulatory and security protocols to safeguard customer information and maintain the integrity of betting operations. Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and policies to ensure compliance.
9. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other Mutuel Clerks, supervisors, and management to ensure efficient operations and a positive work environment. Foster a spirit of teamwork and support among colleagues.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers.
• Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with technology, including computerized systems and betting software.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of horse racing and sports betting is a plus but not required.
