The 30-Hour Basic Training for Problem Gambling is a comprehensive, four-day virtual training program designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals working in the behavioral health and addiction fields. Hosted by the Midwest Conference on Problem Gambling and Substance Abuse (MCPGSA), this training spans four Fridays: October 11, 2024. Each session runs from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Central Time, with a one-hour lunch break at noon.

Each session is facilitated live by experienced instructors and incorporates interactive discussions, case studies, and hands-on activities. Registration Details: Thanks to the collaboration of MCPGSA’s state partners, registration is free for attendees residing in the Midwest Conference region, which includes Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. To access the free admission, eligible participants should use the code MCPGSA during registration. For attendees outside of the Midwest region, the cost is $300 for the entire training program.
Certification and Continuing Education Units (CEUs): Participants who attend all four training days will receive 30 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs), a valuable addition to professional credentials. Moreover, those who complete the full training will have the opportunity to join a specialized case consultation group, where they can continue to deepen their skills and receive guidance on complex cases.
