Location: 53 Regional Dr., Concord, NH
Pay Range: $25.40 - $34.14 per hour
The New Hampshire Lottery Commission's Investigations and Compliance Division is seeking a full-time Gaming Enforcement Agent. This role is vital in ensuring strict compliance with state gaming regulations through diligent monitoring and inspections of licensed gaming operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Enforce gaming regulations by conducting investigations, collecting evidence, and performing compliance inspections to ensure adherence to state gaming laws.
- Technological Utilization: Use technological systems to perform regulatory functions and ensure that licensees' accounting practices comply with regulations.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and maintain records from investigations, which may be used in administrative and judicial proceedings.
- Dispute Arbitration: Act as an impartial third party in disputes between gaming operators, employees, and patrons, demonstrating integrity and discretion.
- Public Interaction: Provide guidance, explain regulations, and respond to inquiries and complaints from the public and licensees.
- Collaboration: Develop relationships with licensing and auditing units, assist with audit activities, and coordinate with law enforcement agencies on criminal matters.
- Policy Recommendations: Suggest changes to administrative rules and agency policies to improve compliance and enforcement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, public administration, criminal justice, law, computer science, or a related field. Additional relevant experience can substitute for formal education (18 months for an Associate's degree, 36 months for a Bachelor's degree, and 54 months for a Master's degree).
- Experience: Five years of professional experience in business administration, accounting, auditing, public administration, criminal justice, law, regulatory enforcement, or computer science, with at least one year in a supervisory or administrative role. Each additional year of approved work experience can substitute for one year of formal education.
- License: Valid driver's license.
Special Requirements:
- Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, including rotating night and weekend shifts.
- Must pass a criminal background check and driver's license history check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with gaming regulatory requirements and knowledge of the gaming industry.
Training and Oversight:
- Employees in trainee status will be overseen by a fully qualified individual and must meet minimum qualifications within one year of hire.
